Product Description

  • KPCI-202 is a high performance water-based release agent for integral skin glossy polyurethane products with excellent lubricity and mold release capability.
  • It provides effective anti-sticking and isolation for integral skin and elastomeric polyurethane products, and is suitable for products with high surface skinning requirements.
  • Its unique internal molecular structure can play a role in resisting the gross suction formed by microcellular foaming on the surface of polyurethane, which will not affect the aesthetic appearance of the product, and can play a smooth and even effect.

Main Properties

  • The main component of the product is a low surface energy polymer with outstanding isolation properties, forming a dense inert coating on metal mold surfaces.
  • It can effectively prevent highly viscous urethane materials from penetrating the metal surface to produce bonding.
  • Due to its flexible polymer chain segments, it has outstanding lubricity.
  • Even for polyurethane products with complex mold structure, it still has very good mold release effect.
  • After high dilution, it is still possible to achieve multiple mold releases.

Application Methods

Dilution: Mix the concentrate with water at the suggested ratio, stirring until smooth. Adjust the dilution rate based on site conditions—start strong and thin gradually to find the best balance between performance and economy.

Mold Preparation: Clean the mold surface to remove grease, dust, or residue. Pre-warming is optional and depends on the material and working environment.

Coating: Apply the release agent evenly with a spray gun, ensuring full coverage without heavy buildup. Adjust air pressure for proper atomization to reach detailed areas and speed drying.

Drying: Allow the mold to sit after spraying until all moisture or solvent has evaporated.

Demolding & Reapplication: Clean the mold after demolding as needed. The number of cycles per application varies with mold complexity. When reapplication is required, simply repeat the coating process.

Operation and Precautions

Safety: Wear gloves, goggles, and a mask. Ensure good ventilation and keep away from fire, heat, and incompatible chemicals.

Usage: Do not mix with other release agents. Stir well before and during use to prevent stratification.

Troubleshooting: If demolding is difficult, adjust the spray amount or extend drying time. For heavy residue, wipe with solvent or mold cleaner.

Storage and Validity

Storage: Keep tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and outdoor conditions. Protect from freezing—ensure temperature is above 15°C before use. Avoid heat, open flames, acids, alkalis, and temperature extremes (below -10°C or above 40°C). Follow standard chemical precautions during transport.

Shelf Life: 6 months in the original sealed container at 15–30°C. Use promptly after opening.
