Water-based Soundproof / Anti-noise Wax
This product is a water-based anti-noise wax developed for polyurethane molded foam, suitable for surface treatment of products such as seats and headrests. It effectively reduces the friction coefficient between the foam and the covering material or frame, eliminating squeaking noises. The water-based formula is safe, environmentally friendly, and easy to apply; it typically comes with a tint for visual confirmation of spray uniformity, ensuring a consistent and controllable process.

Product Performance
- Ready-to-use product, blue in color. Designed for polyurethane products after demolding.
- Imparts a creamy texture and a slightly greasy feel to the workpiece surface.
- Apply by spraying onto the foam backside to reduce squeaking noises caused by friction between foam products and metal frames.
Application(s)
- Suitable for surface treatment of products such as seats and headrests.
Application Methods
- Mix Evenly: Stir evenly before use.
- Equipment Setup: Use a spray gun with a nozzle diameter of 0.5–1.5 mm. Connect it to a pressure tank or spray flask. And adjust the flow rate to 180–250 g/min to ensure uniform atomization.
- Surface Preparation: Clean dust and oil from foam surfaces; ensure dryness and absence of debris.
- Spray Application: Apply by spray gun or brush. When spraying, hold the gun 15–25 cm vertically from the foam, move at a steady speed to achieve an even coating. Apply a single layer with a thickness of 50–80 μm.
- Drying & Curing: Air-dry at ambient temperature for 24–48 hours until the surface is completely dry and non-tacky to achieve sound-dampening effect.
Operation & Precautions
- Wear rubber gloves, goggles, and a mask during operation to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
- Keep the workplace well-ventilated and away from open flames, high-temperature sources, and incompatible materials (such as oxidizers, strong acids, and strong alkalis).
- Stir evenly before use to prevent stratification caused by prolonged standing, which may affect performance.
Storage & Validity
Storage conditions
- This aqueous product must not be stored outdoors to avoid irreversible deterioration due to freezing.
- In the event of accidental freezing, the product should be thawed at ambient temperature (note: do not apply heat). After thawing, inspect its condition. If it appears normal, it may be used.
- Store in a sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and open flames.
- Transportation must follow the appropriate precautions for chemical products.
Duration of use
- Store in the original sealed container for 6 months, keeping the temperature between 0~40℃.
